Our Roots

Thank-you Calgary! We opened our first location on 37th St SW in 2009, and since then, have not looked back. The past fifteen years have been extremely challenging, and immensely rewarding. With decades of combined experience, our awesome team of Diving Educators have had many amazing experiences teaching thousands of new students how to dive.

Over the years, Calgary has certified more divers per capita than any city in North America. With conditions that are considered challenging to even the most seasoned divers, Alberta is known as one of the toughest places to complete your dive training. After completing your four training dives, you will have the confidence to dive anywhere in the world.

Class starts with the Instructor

Your training begins with online or classroom knowledge development, then our experienced educators safely train you in a full-size pool to learn the basic skills. Once the confined water sessions are complete, we lead you on four open water dives in a local lake to complete your certification. Calgary Scuba can even work with your schedule, just ask us how.

We guarantee your success with performance based, not time-based training. Should you require some additional guidance and practice to master these practical skills, we provide it.

We are the only store in Calgary that teaches in a full size pool.
